Stand up comic, writer, and actress Rosie Tran was born and raised on the outskirts of New Orleans, LA. Hanging out with comics, at the 2nd Annual New Orleans Comedy Festival, she soon started to get funny fever and realized she had to escape the boredom of the Deep South. Rosie soon packed her bags, and made the move to Los Angeles, CA.
At just 20 years old, Rosie performs stand up every night of the week and has toured the country as a feature comic. She brings it with her high energy, wit, and clever commentary. She has shared the stage with diverse and popular national headliners, like Lisa Lampinelli and Judah Friedlander. Rosie has been called "the hardest working chick in stand up comedy" by the head of comedy at Exceed Entertainment, Shawn Ullman.
Stand-up isn't the only thing this little bugger can accomplish. Rosie, also, enjoys performing improv and sketch comedy. She is proud to have studied with the founder of the Second City School, Paul Sills, in Chicago. Rosie has been a sketch player and writer for the L.A.-based sketch comedy group, Fries on the Side.
You can catch Rosie featured in the articles of the online comedy publication Shecky Magazine or read her jokes in the Judy Brown joke compilation She's So Funny. Rosie was in the stand-up comedy documentary Hardly Laughing directed by Ken Wood, and she is the stand-up segment host of the pilot, TV Party. Rosie is the first and only professional female Vietnamese-American stand up comic in the World! No matter where she is, you're guaranteed to find a great time!
