Mel Moon
Described as what would be the result if Victoria Wood and Billy Connely had children (Bricklane comedy), Mel Moon is fast becoming a firm favourite on the UK comedy circuit. Her second gig was the King Gong show at the comedy store and she sailed through to the clap off without breaking a sweat; though to this day she claims she has never felt fear like it. Combining subtle humour with the downright ridiculous as well as well crafted songs, she covers topics from Equine Dentists to Richard and Judy with ease and intelligence.
A natural on the stage she exudes confidence whilst showing vulnerability at times, such as when she discusses her little boy and the struggle being a lone parent.
Within her first 6 months she came 1st Runner up in the Carlsberg comedy and reached the Semi Finals in Laughing Horse New Acts Competition. She is currently a semi finalist on Guilded Balloons SYTYF (2008).
