After Kent University, Julia landed her dream job - Alice In Wonderland at a theme park in her home town of Bournemouth. But the Mad Hatter's tea parties couldn't go on forever and she took up the rather more serious job of radio newsreading for Independent Radio News, broadcasting to almost 300 stations, her favourite being Magic 105.4 in London, just because she likes saying "in the Magic Newsroom".
Two years ago, she took up the Amused Moose Comedy Course, and has now gigged at various locations around London
including Outside The Box, Kingston
The Kings Head Theatre Islington
and the South London Theatre
Gigs coming up - Gong Show Comedy Store and Downstairs at the Kings Head, Crouch End.
She's now hooked up with "Funny Women", and is entering the heats this year, while also venturing on a docu with the team about how hard/easy it is to be a female stand up these days.
Julia's jokes centre on being from Dorset, why the dinosaurs really became extinct ... and touches on being hit with depression and a mad phase of stalking for which she nearly got arrested - that's funny because it's true!
