John Oliver

"A wonderfully intelligent comic" - Evening Standard

John Oliver starred in the prestigous Comedy Zone show at the 2001 Edinburgh Festival where he also appeared in two Perrier Award nominated shows. 2002 sees John's debut solo show taking the Edinburgh Festival by storm.

Never treading the path of least resistance. John's cerebral and uncompromising material confronts the most surprising subjects, from politics to penguins, in his own achingly original style that proves it is possible to be hilarious and thought provoking in equal measure.

A popular hard-hitter on the London circuit and at the best stand up clubs around the country, John has also toured with Jenny Eclair for the past 2 years. In 2002 he returns to the Comedy Network by popular demand as a headline act, playing to sold-out venues across the UK. As an actor John's credits include Chambers (BBC1), The Tommy Tiernan Show (BBC1), the Ardal O'Hanlon sitcom My Hero (BBC1) and the new series of People Like Us (BBC1).

"Brilliant delivery and a great sense of the absurd. quite simply a pleasure to watch perform" - Edinburgh Evening News

"Wildly funny" - The Daily Telegraph
