Purveyor of Finely Crafted Observations
Brett was born in South Australia not far from a 1950’s nuclear testing site and he has the birth defect to prove it. Since then he has played in two losing grand finals; dropped out of a small regional university; moved out of his parents home before he was thrown out; joined a politically party which has since been wiped from the Australian political landscape; got his girlfriend pregnant; proposed to a woman over the internet he had never met; married 2 women 3 times; forsaken Christianity for Paganism and had 3 sons to carry on this noble tradition. He has been working through it all, on stage, since early this millennia and doesn’t look like getting over it any time soon.
Brett has been performing Stand-up at Pubs, Clubs, Casinos and private functions since 2001. Brett has appeared on Tattoo TV on BRIZ31 in Brisbane; claims to have had uncredited material on the Australian television show Good News Week, but can’t prove it, and has recently sold some of his better bits to radio.
In 2007 Brett undertook the first of what he hopes becomes an annual tour of the UK and Europe. Brett performed at the Copenhagen Comedy Zoo, Malmo Comedy Club, the Comedy Store Manchester, Mirth on Monday Manchester and XS Malarkey Manchester. Brett then performed at the Pear Shaped Afternoon and Electric Cabaret at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
