Ariane Sherine Ariane Sherine reached the Laughing Horse New Act Final in 2004, aged 23, then quit stand-up to focus on comedy writing. She has written for television programmes including BBC1's My Family, BBC2's Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and Channel 4's Countdown, and has also written comedy regularly for The Guardian, as well as The Sunday Times, The Independent, The Independent on Sunday, NME and Esquire. She has also appeared on BBC1's BBC Breakfast, BBC London News, ITV1’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Radio 2's The Jeremy Vine Show, Radio 3’s Night Waves and Radio 4's iPM and Sunday. Now aged 35, she recently starred in a video with Charlie Brooker for a song she composed, 'Hitler Moustache', and has also duetted with Tim Minchin at London's Palace Theatre. She returns to stand-up this April, with an act that features observational stand-up with hilarious songs.
