Abi Makes Music

“Sassy, knowing and no doubt ironic, Abi sounded like Mogul for sixth-formers." – Organ Magazine

Abi Makes Music is a musical stand-up character comedian, writer, presenter and illustrator combining keyboard and backing track-accompanied songs with absurd true stories about herself and her family.

Abi has a talent for winning over audiences with a childlike innocence paired with shocking revelations and ridiculous homemade props.

Performance credits include support for Zoe Lyons (The Good Ship Comedy Club), Sara Pascoe (Stand Up for Bowel Cancer) and Patrick Monohan (TNT Comedy Club).

An established social media writer for broadcasters, shows, brands and celebrities, Abi’s credits include E4, Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three) and Sony Music (One Direction/Little Mix/Ella Henderson).

Abi’s interviews with bands for Don’t Panic in 2009 purposefully confused rising stars, due to the fact that Abi mainly talked about herself. Interviews included Goldie Lookin Chain, Tegan and Sara and Charli XCX.

Abi was listed in Funny Women’s ‘Ones to Watch’ section, has been a winner and finalist at the Cavendish Arms’ weekly competition and was chosen to appear in the Channel 4/BBC 2011 Talent Yearbook.

"Supporting was Abi Makes Music, tales exploring petulance, bitchiness and other dark areas of the female psyche, set to deliberately shambolic keyboards. Sassy, knowing and no doubt ironic, Abi sounded like Mogul for sixth-formers." – Organ Magazine

“Her lyrics are brilliant and ridiculous. She’s a star.” – Artrocker Magazine
